The world’s leading triennial nonwoven event INDEX 20 is scheduled from March 31 – April 3, 2020 at Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. More than 660 exhibitors and 12,700 trade visitors from 100 countries are likely to participate in the 13th edition of INDEX—the melting pot for requirements related to nonwoven technologies and latest innovations in the sector.

INDEX 20 will be held across an area of 50,000 sq m of exhibition space. There will be six free-to-attend seminars in the fields of filtration, automotive, infection prevention, geotextiles, sustainable nonwovens and smart nonwovens. A free taster tutorial on other sectors is also in the pipeline during the exhibition.

Responding to the global concern about climate change and sustainability, exhibitors are going to showcase concepts and applications addressing the issue at INDEX. The participants can exchange ideas and learn more about the diverse properties of nonwovens from senior executives and decisionmakers in the field.

As always, the INDEX Innovation Awards is going to be the star highlight of the exhibition. INDEX 20 Awards for 'Excellence in the nonwovens and related industries' will be given on the opening day of the exhibition.

All the nominated submissions will be showcased in the Innovation Lab, a special area that will be featured for the first time at the exhibition. The diverse properties of the highly engineered structures will be demonstrated in a special Research & Testing area. The Innovation Lab will have poster presentations on current research in nonwovens and seminars on topics related to UN Sustainable goals. The Innovation Lab will also have seminars on the application of nonwovens to medical, automotive, geotextile, technical textiles, and filtration sectors.

When exhibitions across the world are getting postponed because of COVID 19, the organisers Edana and Palexpo are adopting all necessary steps to address the concern. Palexpo in coordination with Directorate General of Health of Switzerland and Canton of Geneva and its senior medical officer have developed a health action plan that can be adapted for any unwanted situation. The plan recommends the implementation of a cleaning programme using suitable sanitary products.

Belgium based international association Edana hosts INDEX exhibition every three years. The exhibition is designed to provide visitors a unique experience of knowing cutting edge technical innovations and products developments.

At Palexpo, exhibitions, congresses, shows and competitions follow one another all year round in the 106,000 sq m of the international congress and exhibition centre in Switzerland.
