Stora Enso to modernize Oulu Mill with Andritz equipment

International technology Group ANDRITZ received an order from Stora Enso to supply equipment for modernization of the fiberline at the Oulu mill, Finland.

The goal of the modernization project is to improve operational cost efficiency by increasing energy efficiency and reducing chemical consumption. The modernized plant will be started up in two phases in 2014 and 2015.

The ANDRITZ scope of supply includes a cooking upgrade with a new Help pre-steaming chip silo and supply of a new bleaching stage with a drum displacer washer. The Oulu mill has an annual production capacity of 1,125,000 t of coated wood-free paper and 370,000 t of long-fiber pulp.
