Technotex 2018 to promote 'Make in India' initiative

The 7th edition of the International Exhibition and Conference on Technical Textiles (Technotex 2018) will focus on making India the manufacturing hub in the area of technical textiles under the 'Make in India' initiative. The event will serve as the right platform for interaction between the Indian and foreign companies from technical textile value chain.

The two-day event being organised by the ministry of textiles in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will kick-start from June 28 in Mumbai. Centre of Excellences associated with the ministry will showcase their activities in testing and R&D during the curtain raiser event on May 17.

Technotex 2018 will pool in participants, visitors and other key decision makers from a diverse cross section of the technical textile industry with a view to provide more innovative solutions, identify new business opportunities and create an environment congenial for growth.

With more than 150 exhibitors participating with pavilions of China, Taiwan (RoC) and South Korea, a reverse buyer seller meet will be organised with 225 international buyers from more than 30 countries. The event will showcase latest products, machinery, equipment and developments in the industry for generating business and test marketing.

A common platform for interaction amongst stakeholders from across the global technical textile value chain, Technotex display profile will focus on medical textiles, mobil textiles, industrial textiles, eco textiles, geo textiles, home textiles, packaging textiles, protective textiles, sport textiles, agro textiles, construction textiles and clothing textiles.
