ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, and the Italian Trade Agency for the promotion and internationalisation of Italian companies, will be exhibiting at Techtextil Russia, in hall forum, booth FC 140. The technical textiles, nonwovens, and protective clothing trade fair will be held from March 19-22, 2019 in Moscow.

Visitors will be provided with all the necessary information relating to the latest Italian textile technology at the show, ACIMIT said.

“The Russian market for textile machinery is developing rapidly and the local textile industry is investing in new machinery, in part due to the willingness of the competent authorities to replace imports of textile products with local production,” Alessandro Zucchi, president of ACIMIT said.

Italian machinery manufacturers are among the primary technology suppliers for the Russian market. In 2017, Italy’s textile machinery exports to Russia amounted to €20 million, rising to €27 million for the first ten months of 2018, an 84 per cent increase compared to the same period for 2017.

“The ACIMIT/ITA institutional stand confirms that even in a year full of trade fair events, among which stands out ITMA Barcelona, there’s still a willingness on the part of our association and our associated members to strengthen an already fruitful relationship with Russian textile manufacturers,” Zucchi said.
