Tappi to host annual nonwovens conference in Indianapolis

Tappi, the leading association for worldwide pulp, paper, packaging, tissue & converting industries, will host its annual Innovative Nonwovens Conference (NETInc), May 5-8, 2019 in Indianapolis, IN, US. NETInc is the only nonwovens technical conference developed by engineers and technology experts to help understand the science and how it impacts the market.

The event is co-located with four other highly anticipated events including PaperCon, Tappi/Idcon Reliability & Maintenance, Recycled Paperboard Association, and the International Paper Physics Conference, giving attendees the opportunity to attend all five for one conference fee.

The NETInc conference will offer in-depth insights into new products, sustainability technologies, nano- and micro-technologies, functional finishes, and process advancements. The programme will feature seven sessions highlighting: State of the Industry, New Products, Sustainability, Process Advances I & II, Functional Finishes and Nano- and Micro-Technologies. It is a forum for industry experts and professionals to share and discuss the latest innovations, best practices and key issues affecting the nonwovens industry.

On Monday, May 6, 2019, attendees will have the opportunity to hear keynote presentations from industry leaders Amit Kapoor and Andrew Aho, on the impact of advanced textiles on nonwovens.

Amit Kapoor, president and co-founder of First Line Technology, LLC, will speak on ‘Nonwovens and Advanced Textiles Innovations to Commercialisation Pathway’.

Andrew Aho, vice president of new business development at Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), will discuss ‘Advanced Textiles with Nonwovens in the US Market’. (PC)
