Infab plans to expand operations in Hildale, Utah

May 31, 2019 - United States Of America

Infab Corp, the largest US manufacturer of medical radiation protection equipment, is planning to expand its operations in Hildale, located along Utah’s border with Arizona, for a $5 million capital investment. It expects to create 90 jobs over the next five years in Utah. Infab’s VP operations Tom Fink will oversee the Utah facility beginning next month.

Company officials said they ‘fell in love with Utah’ during a nationwide search for a new facility to accommodate the company’s rapid growth in recent years.

State economic development officials lauded the project for bolstering a rural area of the state and diversifying Utah’s manufacturing sector. The company, provided it meets hiring and wage criteria, is eligible for a tax credit rebate equivalent to up to 20 per cent of new taxes paid over a five-year agreement with the state.

“This project will help rural Utah create new jobs and be a benefit to the skilled workforce in Washington County,” said Governor’s Office of Economic Development executive director Val Hale.

Infab is headquartered in southern California and produces lead aprons and other equipment to limit healthcare workers’ exposure to x-rays and other radiation. (PC)
