Sabrina, a global leader in performance apparel, and Versalume, an integrated fibre-laser solutions provider, have announced the joint development of wearable smart garments. The introduction of lighted fibre integrated with sensors into smart clothing would help users monitor biometric symptoms of the body while running, biking, or resting in bed.

“Versalume has strong technical ability and experience in its professional field, therefore, Sabrina Group decided to cooperate strategically with Versalume. Collaboratively, we are dedicated to providing the best smart garment development services and solutions to our business clients,” said Oliver Hsu, chief operating officer of Sabrina Group.

“We are pleased to be a partner of Sabrina. Their leadership in sports garments and other areas in fabric and textiles allow Versalume to further integrate our lighted fibre technology into an individual’s everyday life,” said Dr. Qing Tan, VP of engineering at Versalume. “Our integrated laser-fibre and IoT / smart device technologies, combined with textile and product innovations from Sabrina, will provide a platform for optimum comfort, durability, and convenience in the wearable space.” (PC)
