The next edition of Techtextil will take place in Frankfurt from June 21 to 24, 2022. The return of Italian textile machinery manufacturers to the trade fair after the last edition in 2019 will once again see them in the spotlight. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the demand for special-purpose textiles, especially in the medical and PPE sectors.

The Indian ministry of textiles recently issued a notification inviting proposals from registered exporter associations and trade bodies for setting up a dedicated Export Promotion Council (EPC) for Technical Textiles. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, in a meeting on February 26, 2020, had approved the constitution of such a dedicated EPC.
