American company Hexcel Corporation reported sales of $472.3 million in Q1 FY24, up from $457.7 million last year, but saw gross margin drop to 25 per cent from 27.9 per cent. The company’s operating income fell to $54.1 million, despite gains in aerospace and defense sectors. Industrial sales dropped significantly by 27.9 per cent in Q1 FY24.

Hexcel Corporation reported a 13.4 per cent sales increase in FY23, reaching $1,789 million. The company’s gross margin improved to 24.2 per cent, with adjusted operating income at $216.7 million in FY23. In the fourth quarter of FY23, sales were $457.5 million, with a gross margin of 22.5 per cent. Q4 adjusted operating income was $49.1 million.

Hexcel is set to showcase its latest marine market innovations at METSTRADE 2023. These developments include new intermediate and high modulus fibre HexPly M79 prepregs, designed for highly loaded components in applications like rigs and foils. American firm Hexcel Corporation reported Q1 FY23 sales of $457.7 million, up 17.2 per cent YoY, driven by commercial aerospace sales, which grew by 30 per cent to reach $284.5 million. The company's adjusted operating income increased to $63 million or 13.8 per cent of sales, compared to $31.1 million, or 8 per cent of sales in Q1 FY22.
