Seevix, ASICS institute to jointly develop sporting goods

Israel-based biotechnology firm Seevix Material Sciences Ltd and the ASICS Institute of Sport Science will jointly develop sporting goods utilising SVX spidersilk, according to Shlomzion Chen, founder and chief executive officer of Seevix, talks materials. Japan’s ASICS Ventures Corporation, a subsidiary of ASICS Corporation, invested in Seevix in May.

Seevix manufactures synthetic SVX spidersilk. ASICS believes SVX can be used in their sporting goods to improve both sustainability and functionality, Chen told TechnicalTextile.Net in an interview.
