Durashine—the high performance solution dyed acrylic fibre from Thai Acrylic Fibre Co. Ltd (TAF), a part of Aditya Birla Group—and Sol-Out—a new player in 100 per cent solution dyed acrylic fabrics for outdoors—launched a new range of fabrics at the recently concluded IFAI Expo 2019 in Orlando. The new range has plain solids, stripes and jacquard designs.

Catering to the segments of awnings, umbrellas, outdoor furniture and marines, all the fabrics have water and dirt repellent properties and the collection have coated fabrics for specialised applications.

All the fabrics are made with 100 per cent Durashine solution dyed acrylic fibre. Durashine from TAF is suitable for various outdoor applications including awnings, outdoor-furniture, carpets, marine exterior etc. Colour brilliancy, durability and performance characteristics of these yarns remain unchanged year after year, as it is manufactured using highly advanced technology that supports weather and UV resistance.

“This was our first participation in IFAI and we are very pleased with the response we got. As a new player in the outdoor industry, we got a chance to interact with the key players in the industry, fabric sellers and end-product manufacturers and overall a good exposure to the US market. We had a great response to our new range in the expo and we look forward to develop more products for this market,” said Thaveechai Sirikulthada (Dev), director of Bulliontex—the company behind Sol-Out.

“We have participated in IFAI Expo with our Durashine Select partners with a range of products from fibre, yarns, fabrics and the end-products in outdoors and we have got a wonderful response from the visitors. The show not only helped us reach more customers, but we also learnt about the new trends and demands from the industry. We look forward to bringing more and more innovative products to meet the demands of the outdoor industry,” said Satyaki Ghosh, CEO – Domestic Textiles & Acrylic Fibre, Aditya Birla Group.
