CompPair Technologies has been selected a JEC Startup Booster 2021 winner. Startup Booster is the leading startup competition in the world of composites. It enables companies to identify innovations with potential impact and which may help the industry complete ongoing projects. JEC Composites Connect was fully virtual. The jury comprised six experts.

JEC Composites Connect allowed the industry to connect despite the pandemic. There were more than 200 innovative projects in the competition, from which 20 finalists were selected.

“Indeed, at CompPair we have a vision of reducing materials waste by extending the lifetime of composite products. This sustainable goal will have an immeasurable impact on the industry,” the company said.

JEC Composites Connect was fully virtual, allowing the industry to carry on connecting in innovative ways despite the pandemic. The jury was made up of six experts in the industry - Jelle Bloemhof, who is head of Manufacturing Technologies of Composites at Airbus; Karl-Heinz Füller, the manager of Future Outside and Materials at Daimler; Brian Krull, the global director of Innovation at Magna Exteriors; Markus Solibieda, the managing director at BASF Venture Capital; Thomas Canova, the head of Solvay Ventures; and Johannes Goetzelmann, the director of Product and Process Development in Europe at Magna Exteriors.

The other winners of the award are Elemental Coatings and Continuous Composites.

Launched in 2017, Startup Booster has already fostered the emergence of more than 500 innovative projects from over 50 countries, 60 finalists and 20 winners.
