The Teijin Group has announced that it would participate in the Asia Nonwovens Exhibition and Conference (ANEX) to be held in Tokyo from June 6-8, 2018. The Teijin booth will introduce a wide range of materials and products for the environment, automotive, disaster-prevention and healthcare fields like sound absorbers, cushion materials and more.

Exhibits include sound absorbers for EV cars. Teijin’s nonwoven ultrafine-fibre fabric absorbs noise ranging from low to high frequencies. It is an excellent sound-absorbing material for engine covers due to its excellent heat resistance, moldability and lamination properties.

The lightweight Elk high-function cushion material by Teijin offers diverse functionality, including high elasticity, durability and breathability, as well as safety because it generates minimal cyan gas even if burned. The booth will exhibit a new elk material that combines polyester staple fibre and high-cushioning Solotex staple fibre, and various products made with elk, including cushions and mattresses.

Teijin Frontier will also display a chip-shaped fibre-filtration material for wastewater treatment that removes solid floating matter in industrial wastewater and living drainage. This high-efficiency filter material can withstand high temperatures and eliminates fibre migration better than conventional materials due to special processing. A selection of other functional fibre-filtration materials also will be exhibited.

The booth will additionally present a variety of ultrafine fibres, including Nanofront, which offers exceptional filtration efficiency. There also will be displays of fibres for newly developed air through nonwoven fabric, a special short-cut fibre for papermaking, and aramid materials for bag filters and heat-resistant filters, said the company in a press release.

ANEX is forecasting some 30,000 visitors and over 700 exhibiting companies this year. Teijin’s participation is expected to help further raise its profile and continue expanding its market through new proposals towards next 10 years. (KD)
