Toray Industries will highlight latest advances in aerospace materials technology at the Paris Air Show – the world’s largest aerospace industry exhibition starting today in Paris. At the show, Toray will define performance advancements in Torayca T1100 Carbon Fiber – a new class of carbon fibre offering improvements in both tensile and modulus strengths.

Additionally, Toray will promote its extended capabilities which now include the market leading Cetex thermoplastic composite materials, following their acquisition of TenCate Advanced Composites, since renamed to Toray Advanced Composites, in July of 2018. This is Toray Advanced Composites’ first joint event since joining the Toray Group. Toray will be exhibiting at the Exhibition Center of Le Bourget Chalet A-126.

“The Paris Air Show enables us to engage with our customers and understand the changing trajectory of the industry,” said Tim Kirk, vice president of aerospace sales for Toray Composite Materials America in a press release by Toray. “It provides a great opportunity to showcase our value-add – both now and for the future.”

“The aerospace market is growing at a rate that demands innovation and capacity. Together with the combined value of Toray, we’re perfectly positioned to support our customers better than ever,” said Frank Meurs, managing director for Toray Advanced Composites.

Toray has set business expansion in growth fields and creation of new demand through development of new products as important tasks for the carbon fibre composite materials business in its medium-term management program ‘Project AP-G 2019’. Under the corporate philosophy of ‘Contributing to society through the creation of new value with innovative ideas, technologies and products,’ the company will continue to engage in development of new products, creating new sources of value, pushing continued overall adoption of advanced materials, and developing breakthrough processing capabilities.
