US company IPS takes over Swift Textile Metalizing

Integrated Polymer Solutions (IPS), a portfolio company of Arcline Investment Management, has taken over Swift Textile Metalizing (STM), a designer and manufacturer of highly engineered metalised fabrics used in electromagnetic and radio frequency interference shielding applications. The acquisition is meant to strengthen the materials science business.

Integrated Polymer Solutions is a leader in designing and engineering elastomeric components and tools for aerospace, military, medical and specialty industrial markets. STM maintains key positions on long-lived aerospace, naval, and ground defence platforms critical to the next generation of national defence.

Located in Bloomfield, Connecticut, STM was founded in 1955 and throughout its history has remained at the forefront of conductive and reflective fabric materials science. Since 2015, the company has been owned by Steve Sigmon, who has guided the business into new end markets and impressive growth.
