Valmet to deliver nonwoven system to Dalian HuaYang

Valmet, a global developer and supplier of technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries, will deliver a Spunbond Nonwoven Honeycomb Thru-Air Bonding system to Dalian HuaYang Bicoweb Technology Co Ltd in Liaoning province, China. The nonwoven bonding system will help the customer achieve the best nonwoven web quality.

The order was included in Valmet's second quarter of 2018 orders received. The scheduled delivery time is May 2019.

"Valmet is the leading global thermal bonding system supplier. Its unique Honeycomb Thru-Air Bonding system can supply stable and uniform air temperature and velocity. We are very glad to select Valmet as the supplier of the thermal bonding system for our bi-component spunbonded nonwoven project. I believe that the cooperation with Valmet will lift our product quality to a new level," said Zeng Shijun, chairman of Dalian HuaYang.

"This is Valmet's latest Honeycomb Thru-Air Bonding system for the Chinese local nonwoven market and it represents the growing awareness in China of the benefits of Valmet's high-performance bonding systems. Valmet Honeycomb Thru-Air Bonding system supplies best uniformity of air flow and temperature. We work together with HuaYang Bicoweb to achieve high end products for domestic and global markets," said He Bin, sales manager at Valmet.

The Honeycomb Thru-Air Bonding technology is a process whereby heated air is passed through the nonwoven web to accomplish the thermal bonding. The air temperature and pressure uniformity is very critical for the bonding quality. Valmet's Honeycomb Thru-Air Bonding technology promotes uniform air flow through the product in the cross and machine direction, said Valmet in a press release.

The scope also includes a control system for the Honeycomb Thru-Air Bonding system and the burner management system unit (BMS) to enable safe local control of the burners.
