Ahmedabad Textile Industry’s Research Association (ATIRA) will present two nanofibre based projects for investors at the one-day National Investors’ Conclave on Technical Textiles (NICTT), to be held in Coimbatore on April 24, 2019. ATIRA will present an antiviral facemask and a water filter cartridge bottle, both of them made using nanofibre.

Several metal parts in Indian satellites will be significantly lighter in future when these are replaced by composite textiles manufactured by the Ahmedabad Textile Industry Research Association (ATIRA). The recently-inaugurated Vacuum Assisted Resin Infusion Centre (VARIC) in Ahmedabad will manufacture these spacecraft parts using carbon composites.

The National Institute of Design (NID) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ahmedabad Textile Industry's Research Association (ATIRA) for establishment of a Materials and Product Innovation Centre (MAPIC).
