Comfort, compactness and cost effective features have become the most demanding characters for any technology introduced in the textile and apparel industry. Betty McVey, director of BBAs medical business highlights that nonwovens have proven themselves more effective than traditional fabrics but we need to focus on how we can optimize the use of nonwovens in different applications. She also opines that though the growth of nonwovens in Europe and Asia is only in its infant stage, there is going to be a tremendous improvement in its research and applications in the near future.
