Applicationsof composites are steadily increasing with advancement in technology and arereplacing metal and metal alloys.

A few examples of the fibres usedin composites are glass, carbon; aramid fibres and matrix are Thermoset Resinsand thermoplastic resins. Classification of composites is done in several waysdepending on performs structural parameters discussed in the paper.Manufacturing techniques of the composites has been discussed in the paper asin the fiber form, fabric forms, braided and some other forms. Some of themanufacturing techniques practiced commonly are Hand and machine layup, Resintransfer molding, Spray up molding etc. In the paper also the properties, testing and applications of the composite textiles in various fields arediscussed as well.

Composite textiles are reallygoing to have a dominating and influencing effect on the globalised world andonly one phrase suitable to this is The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is a little extra and this extra can be added in the case of thetextiles world with the composite textiles only.
