Foreseeing strong market-led growth, Dow Polyurethanes (PU) business in India is expanding its PU System House in Maharashtra. The move will lead to around 50 per cent increase in production for the business. Dow is also investing in a new technology centre in Mumbai to accelerate innovation and collaboration with its customers in the region.

As consumer durables, infrastructure and automotive segments in India see strong growth in demand, the markets are expanding at an unprecedented rate through the value chain for all relevant products, said the company in a press release.

The business will also showcase its latest innovations and offerings, present a technical paper and spell out long-term India strategy in forthcoming PUTech trade show, one of the biggest polyurethanes trade show in South Asia to be held in Noida from March 08-10, 2017.

"Dow Polyurethanes is launching a new strategy called Vision 2020. It is a vision that resonates around one key theme: enabling customer success. A direct result of this is that Dow Polyurethanes increases its presence in India. From the latest strategic developments, it is clear that we are increasing our capabilities and resources to better serve our customers, starting with adding production volumes to portfolio dedicated to our Indian customers," said Ananth Muthupandian, business leader, Dow PU India.

"However, a bright future requires more than just extra volumes. It is clear that with the ever increasing sustainability requirements and consumer demands, long term success will only be possible when offering smarter solutions. We invite all esteemed visitors to the PUTech trade show to our booth to know more,” added Muthupandian.

The Dow PU product line in India consists of new products to help meet challenging customer needs across various markets such as automotive, building and construction, comfort and insulation.

The company develops and delivers a broad portfolio of performance products and tailor-made solutions to customers in a variety of industries, and applications ranging from energy-efficient residential and commercial construction, industrial solutions, infrastructure repair, to consumer comfort solutions in flooring, furniture, and footwear.
