Europe-based fibre solutions company Ahlstrom has launched FibRoc plasterboard that is a protective and durable solution for high-performance plasterboard applications. This solution is a combination of glass, synthetic, and natural fibres. It is designed to offer dimensional stability and protection in application areas and reduce environmental impact.

EU slaps anti-dumping duty on glass fibre imported from China, Egypt

After the US ban on Xinjing cotton, European Union has slapped anti-dumping duty on import of glass fibre rovings yarn and fabrics from China and Egypt. According to a notification issued by Commission of Implementing Regulation (EU), glass fibre imported from China will attract up to 69 per cent Andi-Dumping Duty (ADD) from July 20, 2022.

Production of nonwovens in Greater Europe rises by 2% in 2021

In 2021, the production of nonwovens in Greater Europe increased in volume by 2.0 per cent to reach a total of 3,120,967 tonnes (and 87.6 billion square metres), according to the data released by EDANA, the international Association serving the nonwovens and related industries. Since 2019, the European output has increased by nearly 9 per cent.
