JNC Corporation and ES FiberVisions Suzhou have jointly invested in a new production line for polyolefin bicomponent fibres in Jiangsu Province, China. The production line with capacity of 14,500 tons per year will cost approximately $22 million and will be ready by July 2018.

JNC and FiberVisions have agreed to expand the Suzhou plant capacity to meet continuing strong demand from the market.  ES FiberVisions also plans to start up a new plant in Thailand.

ES Fibre is a bicomponent fibre made of two thermo-plastic polymers having different melting points.

ES Fibre can be converted into nonwoven fabrics by heating the fibres up without adhesives and the resulting nonwoven fabrics are softer and bulkier than those produced by competing technologies. Nonwoven fabrics made of ES Fibre are widely used in hygiene products such as baby diapers, wet wipes and feminine care products. (NA)
