Launch of VWR Protection Apparel

VWR International, LLC has announced the launch of its new VWR Collection line of VWR Protection Apparel. This full line of apparel includes coveralls, frocks and lab coats, as well as shoe and boot covers. The introduction of this new, and in certain cases improved, line of apparel is consistent with VWR's strategy of providing its customers the broadest possible choice through a balance of exclusive, branded and private label product offerings. When combined with its portfolio of branded products supplied by DuPont and Kimberly-Clark, the VWR Collection will afford customers an improved portfolio and supply chain.

In 2009, due to the H1N1 crisis, the supply of apparel products was made difficult by the global demand for protective apparel. VWR will continue to work closely with DuPont and Kimberly-Clark to manage the supply of protective apparel to our valued customers. “Branded products continue to represent the vast majority of VWR sales, and those relationships remain strong,” said John M. Ballbach, Chairman, President and CEO of VWR. “In addition to a branded portfolio offering, the VWR Collection provides our customers quality choices and competitive value.”

The VWR Collection is an exclusive line of products created to give customers the quality and value they have come to trust from VWR. With its large selection of branded and new VWR Protection Apparel, VWR is well positioned to meet its customers' apparel requirements in 2010 and beyond.
