International technology group Andritz has received an order from Fouani Nigeria to supply two baby diaper lines for its facilities in Lagos. The lines will produce a wide range of top-class diaper products with absorbent cores made of pulp and SAP (super absorbent polymer). The target is to serve the market in Nigeria with products produced locally.

Austria’s Andritz has received an order from Liansheng Pulp & Paper to supply two tissue machines, including stock preparation equipment, to its mill in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, China. Start-up is planned for the second quarter of 2022. Andritz offers a broad portfolio of plants, equipment, systems, and services for the pulp and paper industry.

DKM Nonwoven Fabric Technology, a member of Sino Holdings Group, has announced that it has received a multi-million-dollar order from GSHK Holding for its suite of manufacturing systems. This complement of tools will be shipped to GSHK’s factory in Morocco and includes melt-blown manufacturing equipment and non-woven manufacturing equipment.

New products such as the Suntech self-developed product STair SMS spunmelt nonwoven machine, which produces premium quality spunmelt nonwovens applied in hygiene and medical industries, successfully passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements.

International technology group Andritz has received an order from Welspun Advanced Materials, India, to deliver a complete neXline spunlace line for the production of nonwoven roll goods and wipes for their new plant in Hyderabad, Telangana. The line has a capacity of up to three tons per hour. Start-up of the line is scheduled for Q4FY21.

United Kingdom-based Fibre Extrusion Technology (FET) is celebrating a successful INDEX20 nonwovens exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland, which closed on October 22. Although the company has a long history in supplying melt-spinning equipment for the nonwovens sector, INDEX20 represented the company’s first participation at a dedicated nonwovens show.

China’s Suntech textile machinery has developed a new generation of nonwoven equipment equipped with a PLC control system. The programming control system adopts a modular design idea. During debugging, problems are detected and have to be adjusted for a certain module. It reduces the workload of operation and is essential to realise automated operation.

Sweden’s hygiene and health company, Essity, is launching a pilot project to run a paper machine CO2-free with green hydrogen in the company’s production facility in Mainz-Kostheim, Germany. The project is the first of this magnitude in the paper industry. Essity’s investment in the pilot project amounts to €4 million (approximately SEK 40 million).
