MKU bags Rs 1bn order for bullet-proof jackets

The Union Home Ministry has placed an order for 59,000 bullet-proof jackets with a manufacturer of a defense solutions company; MKU Pvt Ltd, which is based out of Kanpur in India.

The whole order, which amounts to Rs one billion, will have to be supplied within the next eight months, with the first supplies set to begin from next month to the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

MKU in a span of almost 25 years has pioneered the field of manufacturing protection and armoring solutions and has ventured into diversified avenues including aviation aerodynamics & technology.

Amongst the various protective clothing supplied by the firm are, body armor, de-mining suits & bomb blankets for the diverse needs of security forces like the army, para-military & police forces.
