For their A/W 2016 collection, Pertex fabrics with CS10 technology, use yarns with unique diamond shaped filaments, which lock together to provide a very stable construction.

A Pertex press release informed that these tightly interlocking filaments give these fabrics over twice the abrasion resistance of fabrics made with traditional circular filament yarns, in addition to improved water beading properties.

“While highly durable, these fabrics are exceptionally soft to the touch, extremely downproof, and lend a beautiful sheen,” the company added.

According to Pertex, Peak Performance, Montane, Berghaus and Salewa will all offer new apparel using Pertex fabrics with CS10 technology.

Montane Featherlite Down Pro Pull-on using Pertex Quantum with CS10 technology, packs serious warmth into a lightweight design with versatile features for alpine climbing, mountaineering and high alpine adventures.

Salewa Ortles Concept Down Jacket using Pertex Quantum with CS10 technology and insulated with 1000 cuin 90/10 down, is a super-lightweight jacket designed for mountaineering and alpine climbing.

Berghaus Extrem Micro Down Jacket using Pertex Quantum with CS10 technology is a super-versatile, lightweight jacket insulated with PFC-free hydrophobic Hydrodown, powered by Nikwax that provides packable warmth in an instant. (AR)
