Sigvaris provides Atlanta Falcons 'Athletic Recovery' socks

SIGVARIS, the global leader of graduated compression garments, will supply the Atlanta Falcons with the "Athletic Recovery," a sports compression sock for post-game and post-practice recovery, and as a travel sock for games on the road.

By compressing the leg and calf with graduated external pressure, blood flow in the veins is improved, which increases circulation and oxygen to the muscle tissue. This helps to flush out the lactic acids built up in the leg during exercise, relieving tired, aching legs and exercise-induced muscle soreness. The Athletic Recovery Sock is made of drirelease yarns to accelerate the water release rate of wet fabric, and includes environmentally-friendly FreshGuard to eliminate odors by blocking odor-causing sebaceous body oils from attaching to the fabric.

SIGVARIS created website to provide consumers with information on the new sock - Athletic Recovery - as well as a forum for athletes to discuss their compression therapy experiences and results. The website also includes related medical studies that support the science behind the use of compression therapy for athletic performance and recovery.
