Oi launches Oi Girl line of feminine hygiene products

Highlighting its ongoing growth and commitment to providing superior certified organic hygiene products, Organic Initiative (Oi) has launched its new Oi Girl line of products. San Antonio-based H-E-B became the first retailer in US last month to debut Oi’s Oi Girl line of feminine hygiene products for young girls experiencing their first period.

Edana names nominees for 2019 Filtrex Innovation Award

Ahlstrom-Munksjo, Freudenberg, Math2Market, and Welspun India have all been shortlisted for the 2019 Filtrex Innovation Award by Edana. The winner will be announced at Filtrex, the leading nonwovens filter media event, which will be held on May 14-15, 2019, in Berlin. Edana is the international association for the nonwovens and related industries.

BFI to present innovations at Techtextil

BFI will present innovations to help producers extract the most out of their production equipment and pursue opportunities in automotive, geotextiles, flooring, filtration, upholstery, concrete reinforcement and hygiene, at Techtextil 2019 during May 14-17, 2019. Kimberly-Clark consumer tissue sales down 3% in Q1 2019

In the consumer tissue segment, Kimberly-Clark, a leader in sustainably-made personal care products, has reported sales of $1.5 billion in Q1 2019, down by 3 per cent compared to Q1 2018. Changes in foreign currency exchange rates reduced sales by 6 per cent while volumes decreased 6 per cent compared to 7 per cent increase in the base period.

North American nonwovens capacity up 3.4% in 2018: INDA

INDA, a global association of nonwovens fabrics industry, has published its annual North American (NA) nonwovens supply report. The report finds that in 2018, NA nonwoven capacity increased to 5.17 million tonnes, a net increase of 3.4 per cent over 2017. The increase was due to addition of new lines, machine productivity increases and line closures.

Pacon Manufacturing expands, to create 299 new jobs

Pacon Manufacturing Corporation, a manufacturer of wipes, pads, towels and others, has selected North Carolina (NC) for its new plant, creating 299 new jobs by investing $37.6 million. A performance-based grant of $300,000 from the One North Carolina Fund will help facilitate Pacon Manufacturing’s opening of its new facility in North Carolina.
