Bauer Hockey, the world’s leading manufacturer of hockey equipment, is the No. 1 brand in the National Hockey League’s Conference Finals, as more players choose Bauer equipment than any other brand in the five major categories of skates, sticks, helmets, gloves, and pants.

In addition to leading each major product category, nearly every player in the Conference Finals wears a Bauer Tuuk blade holder (97 per cent), with the vast majority of those players choosing the new Bauer Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holder that allows a player to quickly change out his steel in seconds. Bauer was also the No. 1 brand of choice by players across the league throughout the regular season and the first two rounds of the playoffs, according to a press release.

Rich Wuerthele, executive vice president, Bauer Hockey said, “Earning the players’ trust as the No. 1 brand of choice in the NHL is something we work hard to earn year after year. We take nothing for granted. Our deeply committed R&D and product teams invest significant time and resources to grow our position in every category, every season, and we’re proud of this accomplishment.”

Several Bauer athletes are playing prominent roles in the run to the Stanley Cup Finals, including all four captains, Ryan Getzlaf, Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Toews and Ryan McDonagh, as well as Henrik Lundqvist, Patrick Kane, and Chris Kreider to name a few.

Bauer Hockey is the world’s most recognized designer, marketer, and manufacturer of hockey equipment. Founded in Kitchener, Ontario in 1927, Bauer Hockey developed the first skate with a blade attached to a boot, forever changing the game of hockey. Since then, Bauer Hockey has continued to develop the most sought after products in the industry, including the widely successful Supreme, Vapor, and Nexus lines of products. (GK)
