Germany’s SGL Carbon’s sales up 10.7% to €549.8 million in H1FY22

Sales of SGL Carbon for the first half of fiscal 2022 amount to €549.8 million, which corresponds to a sales plus of €53.1 million or 10.7 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year. After €270.9 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2022, SGL Carbon was able to increase sales to €278.9 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2022.

Germany’s Naturamus, DITF working on textiles by recycling lavender

Natural cosmetics company Naturamus has teamed up with the University of Hohenheim to grow suitable lavender varieties in the Swabian Alps in Germany and devise eco-friendly ways to extract essential oil from them. Research is also underway for developing ways to recycle large quantities of residual materials to produce composite fibres and textiles.

US’ Ashland posts sales of $644 million in Q3 FY22
