Japan’s Mitsubishi and Toyota Tsusho have joined hands to manufacture ethylene, propylene, and their derivatives using bioethanol as a raw material, with an aim to commence operation in 2025. Finland’s Ahlstrom-Munksjo, a fibre-based solution provider, has reported a record high of €3.1 bn of net sales in 2021 for the reporting cycle from January 1 to December 31, 2021. Europe accounted for 45 per cent of its overall net sales followed by the US at 41 per cent and Asia at 14 per cent. The company also reported an EBITDA at €398 million.
