TenCate appoints Jan Albers as chairman, executive board

Textiles technology group, Royal TenCate, which develops and produces solutions for the protection of people and living environment, has appointed Jan Albers, now chairman of supervisory board, as new chairman of the executive board and CEO, during the recently held extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of Royal Ten Cate in Almelo.

Composites maker Gurit’s H1 operating profit expands 21%

Operating profit expanded 21 per cent year on year in the six month period ended June 30, 2016 to reach CHF 19.1 million at Switzerland based composites maker Gurit, while operating profit margin reached 10.5 per cent. The operating profit includes expenses of CHF 2.5 million, mainly related to non cash impairment charges of CHF 2.0 million.

Q2 operating income at Hexagon Composites slips 23.7%

Operating income in the three months ended June 30, 2016 at Norway headquartered composites maker, Hexagon Composites slipped 23.7 per cent year on year to NOK 315.6 million. Operating profit before depreciation or EBITDA also fell marginally at NOK 37.0 million in the second quarter of 2016 as against NOK 37.4 million in the same quarter of 2015.
