Aditya Birla acquires Connora's Recyclamine technology

Aditya Birla Chemicals Thailand, a manufacturer of bulk and specialty chemicals and viscose filament yarn, has acquired Recyclamine technology from chemical technology start-up Connora. The US-based company, Connora is the pioneer of recyclable epoxy resin technology, based on a novel proprietary polyamine synthesis platform called Recyclamine.

Asahi Kasei to expand capacity for spunbond in Thailand

Asahi Kasei, a Japanese chemical company, will expand production capacity for spunbond nonwovens in Thailand through the addition of a new production line at its subsidiary Asahi Kasei Spunbond Co, Ltd (AKST). Together with the two existing lines, the third line of 15,000 tons/year will raise total capacity for spunbond at AKST to 50,000 tons/year.

TAF to launch 10 new shades of Durashine at Heimtextil

Thai Acrylic Fibre Co (TAF), a subsidiary of India-based Aditya Birla Group, will unveil 10 new shades of Durashine fibre—its premium solution dyed acrylic fibre—at the upcoming Heimtextil in Frankfurt from January 8 -11, 2019. Fabrics with Durashine are mainly used for outdoor applications as they are considered to be the most weather-resistant.
