A.Celli's Iridium printing machine starts up at Mexico

The start-up of the Iridium printing machine by A.Celli Nonwovens sold last year in Mexico to Avintiv, recent member of the Berry Plastics Group, concluded on 28th November, 2015 on a successful note.

The Iridium Flexo printing system, capable of printing variable width products in the range of 1600 mm to 2150 mm, is equipped with 4 colours, extendable to a maximum of 6 colours, and can attain a production speed of 450 m/min, guaranteeing the customer the utmost level of flexibility, many aesthetic advantages, and high performances.

Besides the printing unit, the project also includes an unwinding system and a Nexus winder equipped latest generation of in-line slitting system: state-of-the-art A.Celli Nonwovens technology with specific functions for registered printing, according to a press release.

Additionally, the system comes with an integrated shaft handling, finished reel handling system, a dust suction system, and all the engineering work for line commissioning in order to guarantee excellent quality levels. (GK)
