A.Celli targets growth in China with the opening of a new manufacturing plant in order to better serve and support the expanding Chinese marketplace. The recently opened state-of-the-art facility represents a significant investment to start manufacturing components for A.Celli's market-leading tissue paper and nonwovens machinery in China exclusively for the domestic market.

"China is a very important market for A.Celli", said Mauro Celli, President of A.Celli Paper, "the new facilities allow us to provide a more timely and cost-efficient service to our customers in China and Asia".

The new 2000 square metre plant in the Jin Shan Industrial Zone has 15 employees. The existing facility has space to expand to 6000 square metres. The Shanghai plant will have manufacturing facilities comparable to the Italian facilities including workshop, offices and canteen; it will also serve as a hub for field services in China.

The President of A.Celli Shanghai Manufacturing Co. Ltd., Mr. Calvin Liu, initial sponsor of the China manufacturing initiative who has been fully involved from the beginning with the establishment of the company in China comments: "The new plant will bring a significant and long-term benefit to each of our customers and our Chinese employees. Innovative technology, faster delivery times and less expensive freight prices will be a win-win for the group's customers throughout China".

This facility along with the Italian facilities will continue to provide the same quality machinery components that A.Celli's customers have known for the last 65 years. A.Celli Nonwovens' and A.Celli Paper's administrative offices and main operations will continue to be based out of its two Italian headquarters.
