Beaulieu, Indtex join hands to set up technical textile plant

Leading European fabric manufacturer Beaulieu International Group has joined hands with the Lucknow-based textile company Indtex International to set up a new technical textile plant to manufacture carpet backings.

In conversation with technicaltextile.net, Mr. Arshad Iqbal Siddiqui, owner of Indtex International, said, “In a joint venture, Beaulieu International Group and Indtex International have invested Rs. 1 billion to set up a technical textile plant in Uttar Pradesh.”

“Beaulieu International may hold the majority share in the textile plant, which would come up at Dewa Road near Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh,” he adds.

According to Mr. Siddiqui, the construction work of the plant would begin within six months time and the plant is scheduled to start its operation by next year. “The textile plant would convert PP granules into carpet backings along with other flooring materials,” he says.

“Once the textile plant becomes operational, it will generate jobs for around 400 people,” continues Mr. Siddiqui.

Belgium-based Beaulieu International Group employees 3,300 workers and has 30 establishments spread over eight countries including France, Norway, Spain, China, Russia, Chile and the US.
