BondeCote's HEYtrax has received the 2015 innovation award given by the Industrial Fabrics Foundation (IFF), a non-profit organisation dedicated to education and research in speciality fabrics, at Industrial Fabrics Association International's (IFAI) expo 2015.

BondeCote manufactures coated, laminated, and composite fabrics for transportation, military, environmental, agricultural, recreational, and athletic industries. The company's innovation, HEYtrax, is a 3D nonwoven structure with two base fabrics that are interlinked with spacer threads, received a prize of $5000. When the structure is fully inflated, it has a flat, hard surface, which serves as a replacement for products made up of rigid matters for compact handling and increased portability.

Anchor Industries, a manufacturer of fabric structures, pool covers, tents, and military products, received an honourable mention for its new wall attachment technology called WeatherShield. After hearing complaints from tent rental companies about the inability to seal sheer top tent walls to the tent top, Anchor developed the technology to join a wall to the tent at the eave line, providing a wind- proof and rain-proof seal while making it easier and faster to hang walls.

The goal of the innovation award is to inspire companies around the globe to develop innovative products and processes, sharing their stories from concept to completion.

The IFAI is the world's leading and longest-running specialty fabrics trade organisation since 1912, with more than 1,500 member companies located in 55 countries. (HO)
