Carrington to showcase FR products in Intersec Expo

Europe’s leading producer of flame retardant (FR) fabrics, Carrington, will showcase ground-breaking flame retardant products including two of its award-winning FR range– Flameban Max 310 and Flamestat Satin 225 - at the Intersec Expo in Dubai during January 21-23. Carrington supports many large employers, spanning sectors from heavy industry to health.

Flameban Max 310 is a breakthrough protective fabric that possesses both hi-vis and FR qualities – while remaining lightweight, durable and capable of undergoing high temperature industrial laundry washing. It is also the only flame retardant fabric to meet Network Rail standards for both weight and hi-vis protection. Flameban’s multi-norm properties are providing a level of comfort and safety in the workwear market, previously only seen with aramid-only fabrics.

The Flameban Max 310 won best Protective Textile at the 2017 Future Textile Awards.

Flamestat Satin 225 is a multifunctional flame retardant workwear fabric designed to meet today’s increasing multipurpose garment requirements. It is a lighter, stronger fabric certified to all relevant flame retardant, antistatic, chemical splash and high visibility requirements.

Richard Cumpstey, export sales executive at Carrington Textiles said: ‘‘Today’s workers, be they railway operatives, oil riggers or fire fighters, face multiple demands that vary from industry to industry. As such, they need versatile garments that can do more. This means fabrics must offer essential protection for hazardous environments, but still be lightweight and durable. If they are waterproof they must also be breathable and comfortable. Providing protection without compromise is what Carrington’s FR range sets out to achieve.
