Chomarat, a leader in the marine reinforcements market, has received DNV GL certification for its range of glass and carbon multiaxial reinforcements, the company said in a press release.

The company offers glass and carbon multiaxial ranges for the marine market under the brand names G-Ply and C-Ply. The company has integrated laboratories for the marine industry.

The Group believes in innovation strategy which it achieves by investing in new technologies and entering into research partnerships with universities worldwide. The group's expertise in the manufacturing processes of composite parts enables Chomarat to support its customers in reinforcement design and material choice.

“By developing innovative reinforcements made from fibre glass or carbon, we can improve the performance of composite parts and meet the specific demands of the marine market – reduced weight, improved surface finish and better resin flow,” said Vincent Cholvy, marine market manager at Chomarat.

“Chomarat is a leader in the marine reinforcements market. Our DNV GL certification confirms this expertise and proves that we are now ready to conquer new markets requiring this qualification,” he added.

“Engineers at our plants are also able to measure and simulate the permeability of reinforcements and structures, mechanical performance and the quality of surface appearance on finished parts,” explained Claude Chabal, product manager.

Chomarat has industrial sites in Europe, the Mediterranean basin, the US and Asia to support the development of international groups. (NA)
