Countdown to International Conference on Manmade Fibre Textiles begins

With less than two weeks away, the countdown to the keenly awaited 'International Conference on Manmade Fibre Textiles' has begun.

Delegates at the conference to be held on November 18-19, 2011 at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management – Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will witness power packed presentations from leading experts of the Indian and global textile industry manmade fibre value-chain.

Fibre2fashion in association with the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) & Surat Art Silk Cloth Manufacturers Association (SASCMA) is co-hosting this prestigious event with Reliance Industries Ltd as the principal sponsor.

For the first time-ever, delegates will be able to gain first-hand knowledge of the novel and unique nanofibre technology concept of "Forcespinning for Nanofibres" through video conferencing from the US on November 18.

The other exciting feature of the conference is the half-day session on the burgeoning technical textiles sector on November 19, which will feature experts from Arvind Ltd, Supreme Group, Indext-B, Welspun India, Skaps, Kusumgar, Ahlstrom, Ginni Filament and Alphafoam.

The inaugural address will come from Mr Maheswar Sahu (IAS), Principal Secretary (Industries and Mines), Govt of Gujarat, followed by a presentation from Robin Anson, MD, Textiles Intelligence, UK.

There will be a special address from guests of honour, which include Mr. Rajinder Gupta - Trident Group, Mr RD Udeshi - Reliance Industries, Mr KK Maheshwari - Grasim Industries and Mr SN Modani - Sangam Group.

The international conference will prove to be a knowledge sharing platform for leading entrepreneurs, top executives, policy makers and others associated with the textile business and trade and help them enrich their vision, to plan well-thought out strategies for the future.
