Demo of Forte Series 7760 technology at ITME show in India

Forte Technology Inc, a leading supplier of Moisture Measurement Systems will participate in the upcoming ITME exhibition in Mumbai, India from 2- 7 December 2012 in HALL 1-Stall No.-B14. Forté has been serving customers both in India and worldwide for decades. They offer different models depending on the application requirement. Each model features the latest technology available which is a culmination of more than 50 years of designing and manufacturing Moisture Measurement Systems for the textile industry.

Forté will demonstrate a model of their latest Forté Series 7760 for measuring the moisture content of cones, packages, or bobbins. The Forté unit is a valuable tool for ISO qualification, product qualification, quality control, and process control in filament (nylon, viscose, glass fiber, etc.), or spun yarn (wool, cotton, viscose, acrylic, etc.) manufacturing for textile or industrial use.

It is a high speed alternative to the time consuming lab method of weighing samples before and after drying them in an oven. Mills benefit from increased testing of moisture for quality control purposes, and, because of moisture's direct influence on invoice weight, use of this system can increase profit margins. The Forté correlates well with the oven method and complies with IWTO 41-92 for wool testing. The Forté moisture and weight data of tested cones may be used to adjust the invoice weight based on the Forté moisture content.

Forté uses the proven concept of measuring moisture by use of a harmless electromagnetic field applied without contact or damage to the sample. Forté also offers its 2760 Series for measuring bales of viscose (rayon), acrylic and other fibres.

The 2760C Series can be used to measure boxes or pallets of spools or cones of yarn. These systems are installed directly on the conveyor line for automatic testing with minimal operator interface. A mill can achieve 100% sampling with Forté. The systems are also capable of sending the weight and moisture data to a labeling device and central computer for product tracking.

Both the 7760 and 2760 software applications run under an easy to use Windows 7 based operating system for efficient management of data for labeling, invoicing, process, and quality control. Moisture and weight data for each measurement made is archived in a database which stores up to 2 years of production data.
