Don & Low nonwoven line to begin operation in June

Don & Low, Thrace Group member company has announced the commencement of its meltblown nonwovens line in Forfar, Scotland from June 2016. The line features the latest Oerlikon Neumag technology, brings further expansion of Don & Low's product range and adds capability to offer benefits to new markets and applications by the introduction of innovative materials.

With this multi-million euro investment Don & Low will develop new products in collaboration with its customers across all markets and will continue to focus on newer markets in automotive, advanced composites, filtration and medical, the company said in a press release.

The line has a web width of 160 cm and uses a range of polymers including polypropylene, polyethylene and thermoplastic polyurethane. The additional features includes electrostatic charge capability, gap control calendar, on line air permeability and multi-width slitting. (NA)
