EDANA to co-sponsor ANFA Indonesia nonwovens workshop

EDANA has offered to co-sponsor a one-day workshop to promote the development of nonwovens and technical textiles in Indonesia at the Bandung Convention Centre on the 17th December, 2013. 

The day will include a morning workshop with reports and discussions from the industry’s regional and global representatives, and an opportunity for companies to exhibit their products and network with industry participants in the afternoon.

The workshop is organised by the Asian Nonwoven Fabrics Association (ANFA), the Industry and Commerce Association of West Java Province and the Yangtze River Delta Nonwovens Industry Association (SYNIA). Additional co-organisers include the Taiwan Nonwoven Fabrics Industry Association (TNFIA), the Hong Kong Nonwovens Association (HKNA), and UBM Indonesia.

“We are very pleased to organise this ANFA Indonesia workshop in cooperation with EDANA. This will be the first international nonwovens event in Indonesia and it aims to promote the development of nonwovens & technical textiles industries in this country”, says Wang Yan-Xi the Chairman of ANFA.

Indonesia has a growing nonwovens and technical textiles sector, with a smooth transition of many producers willing to diversify from traditional textile production.  In recognition of the strength of the Indonesian market, demand from the local population, and interest from international trading partners, ANFA, as the representative of the nonwovens industry in Asia, is leading the development of this Workshop.

This is a first step and EDANA welcomes further opportunities to work with Indonesian representatives, such as via a fully-fledged conference, in order to support the sustainable development of the nonwovens and related industries, thanks to the Association’s long history and industry-leading experience in product stewardship.
