The first edition of fibre composite and light-weight construction trade fair Experience Composites – powered by JEC will take place in Augsburg between September 21 and 23, 2016.

“The co-organisers of the trade show are Messe Augsburg, the JEC Group and Carbon Composites e.V, and will be organised in two halls on around 10,000 sq. metres of space,” a press release informed.

According to the organisers, this event will bring together large concerns, medium-sized companies, start-ups and potential users of fibre composite materials.

“Experience Composites will help to further develop the composites industry, research and science, in conjunction with the exhibitors and visitors,” they added.

Current and new applications, innovations, ideas and pilot projects from the fibre composite world are to be made tangible and experienced, in accordance with the name Experience Composites.

“The Bavarian-Swabian region characterises a bundling of companies that employ composites, along with research facilities, scientific institutes, associations and networks,” the organisers informed.

On this basis, Experience Composites will encourage the transfer of knowledge related to composite materials and product developments by incorporating visits to companies, users, and scientific institutes.

With the aim of setting composites in scene as the material of the future, a new event format has been developed especially for Experience Composites - the multiple-location format.

Fibre composite materials are to be demonstrated and detailed from a variety of angles to further highlight the further development of this high-growth sector and the experience orientation.

Experience Composites is designed to generate new impulses for fibre composite materials as well as associated value-added processes.

Alongside the trade fair, there will also be two Congresses accompanying the trade fair, visits to companies and scientific establishments and an attractive training program and networking opportunities.

“Over the course of a number of years, we have analysed the international composites and light-weight construction market carefully, and have spoken to a very large number of companies,” Philip Häußler, head of the show said.

“With the new multiple-location format, we have successfully managed to map the desires and requirements of our customers, which we are sure will further ensure development of composites sector,” he added.

“Mentors from science and companies for the various sectors within our event will ensure the highest quality of representation, exhibits and messages,” he informed.

One hall is dedicated to fibre composites and light-weight construction added-value, while the second hall will present six sectors like machines and system construction; automotive and transport; aviation and space; construction and infrastructure and wind energy and medical technology. (AR)
