Garmatex Technologies, Inc., an industry disrupting developer and supplier of scientifically-engineered performance fabrics and apparel technologies, announces the appointment of Douglas Sheridan as President and Chief Operating Officer of its Finished Goods Division and Business Director, Garmatex International.

In joining Garmatex, Mr. Sheridan builds on an illustrious 30-year+ career as a designer and senior business executive working with retail brands in fabric and apparel manufacturing, supply chain management, sales, licensing, distribution and executive placement.

"I am delighted to join Garmatex", said Sheridan. "I have worked all over the world with many of the leading fabric and apparel companies, designers, and fabric engineers but I have never seen a more promising and innovative fabric technology platform than that of Garmatex's. It is truly disruptive and offers endless opportunities to build dominant positions in the majority of the major textile segments.  This starts, for me, with the performance apparel segment, where I believe Garmatex has already developed the best-engineered array of fabrics currently available in the world, which can transform the capabilities of the leading retail brands and lift the entire industry to a new level of accomplishment."

Martin Doane, Chief Executive Officer of Garmatex, commented on Mr. Sheridan's appointment:  "For many months we have been searching for that one industry veteran executive who combined international leadership experience with a comprehensive background in all key aspects of the fabric and apparel value chain, together with a demeanor and approach that would meld with our cohesive and forward-thinking senior executive team.  We are fortunate to have found that person in Douglas Sheridan.  Not only have we given him the reins of our entire Finished Goods business, he immediately becomes a key contributor to our corporate strategy and international business development initiatives.  Douglas is a proven winner and will offer immeasurable help to Garmatex on many fronts as we continue our trajectory to the vanguard of the fabric and performance apparel industries."
