Leister acquires seaming equipment maker Seamtek

Producer of plastic welding and hot-air equipment — Leister Technologies AG said it has acquired the assets of of Seamtek, Inc which manufactures hot-air welding and seaming equipment to the technical textile industry.

Leister said this acquisition helps it offer best-in-class production facilities, a global network of service centers and a superior portfolio of hot-air welding equipment.

Seamtek has in its portfolio, the Seamtek 36 stationary welding machine, which ensures perfectly-welded and long-lasting seams, Leister informed.

From beginning to end, each step of the welding process is digitally-controlled for optimal accuracy and seam integrity.

With its easily configurable, modular construction and wide range of pressure rollers and nozzle widths, the Seamtek 36 offers good flexibility.

Leister will debut the new Leister Seamtek 36 stationary welder to the North American industrial fabric visitors at the IFAI Specialty Fabrics Expo in Minneapolis.

“We have transitioned operations to the Leister Seamtek name, and production of Seamtek product lines has been relocated to our facility in Switzerland,” Jerry Zybko, GM at Leister said.

Leister with global headquarters in Switzerland, has sales and service centers in more than 90 countries. (AR)
