Nanofiber machinery maker Elmarco to partake at 54th JTC in India

ATIRA (Ahmedabad Textile Industry's Research Association), the leading government technical research center in textile sector will organize the 54th JTC (Joint Technological Conference) at ATIRA's campus in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, 9th January 2013.

The JTC event is hosted together with BTRA, NITRA and SITRA, and has been arranged in recent 54 years without interruption. The papers highlighting R&D work carried out by four TRA will be presented. JTC provides a platform for discussions including the possibilities of adopting these developments by the industries. Over 600 visitors and delegates are expected to join JTC in this year.

There are technical discussions which will focus on nanofiber applications such as filtration and performance apparel. Per invitation by ATIRA, Elmarco, the world recognized producer of machines for industrial scale nanofiber production will give a special technical presentation about Nanofiber membrane in performance apparel application.

ATIRA installed Elmarco's NanospiderTM Production Line NS 3W1000U in July 2011 for extensive and professional research of nanofiber web applications with electro spinning technology. Since then both parties have been working very closely in order to speed up commercialization of various nanofiber integrated products in to the market in India.

The latest development in nanofiber researches and wide range of applications will be discussed and shared by all audiences. The JTC will include a special tour and demo of Elmarco NanospiderTM Production Line 1000 in the same campus.

Ahmedabad Textile Industry's Research Association (ATIRA) is an autonomous non-profit association for textile research. It is the largest of its kind in India for textile and allied industries.

ATIRA was established on 13th December 1947, and started in 1949 after due recognition by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research under the Ministry of Science and technology, Government of India. Later it was linked to the Ministry of Textiles.

ATIRA membership is voluntary, of 98 units spread all over India and abroad, 88 are Ginning, Spinning, Weaving, Process Houses and Composite Textile Units and 10 are manufacturers of fibers, dyes, chemicals, instruments equipment and machinery.
