National Safety Apparel (NSA), provider of safety products and clothing, has acquired DRIFIRE, a brand of technologically advanced performance safety apparel for military personnel, from Optimer Brands based in Chicago, IL.

The acquisition of DRIFIRE further increases National Safety Apparel's portfolio of flame resistant (FR) brands and adds another market leader to their already established “House of Brands”. The DRIFIRE line of safety products will be promoted to distributor-partners alongside their existing ArcGuard, Vizable 360°, Carbon Armour, HYDROlite FR, and TECGEN Select brands. The addition of the DRIFIRE brand further validates NSA's commitment to building a house of premium PPE brands for their customers.

Chuck Grossman, president and CEO of National Safety Apparel said, “This acquisition further strengthens our position in the safety market as a leader of FR performance garments. We will continue to look for strategic acquisitions that complement the markets we serve.”

Darryl Schimeck, CEO of Optimer Brands said, “NSA is a perfect fit for DRIFIRE. I am confident that the combination of DRIFIRE's global brand and NSA's manufacturing and distribution resources will produce high performance FR solutions that cannot be matched. It is indeed a perfect fit.” (GK)
