Norafin Industries GmbH continues with its successful niche strategy and expands its manufacturing location with the help of a new investor The Mildenau company has held its ground on the market as a successful supplier of high performance specialty nonwovens and composites over the past years, and serves its clients with innovative solutions. With the help of a German investor, Norafin continues on with its successful corporate history. The manufacturing location in Mildenau will become bigger with the construction of a new building and the fitting of an additional spunlace line.

Through the increased capacity, Norafin will be able to expand its existing range of specialty nonwovens and to introduce new product variations onto the market. “The demand for innovative, technical nonwovens, which combine different requirements such as high fire retardancy, breathability, textile-like characteristics and a sustainable material design in one product, is increasing,” states André Lang, managing director of Norafin.

“Thanks to our growing national and international network, which includes fibre partners, research institutes as well as AT specialists, we are able to react quickly and flexibly to our clients' wishes.” The new spunlace line is scheduled to be put into operation in the summer of 2013.

As an innovation-driven company, Norafin also emphasises its research and development work. New solutions are developed at innovation workshops together with the customer. Trials are conducted on spunlace test lines or created directly on the factory line, depending on what is required. All samples can be trimmed or functionalised variably, for which the existing Stage-Gate procedure ensures smooth process operations.

With the already existing spunlace and needle line, the company's own aftertreatment line and the imminent expansion of its production facilities, it will be possible for Norafin to be able to react to its customers' product demands even better.
