Point Blank Enterprises, the worldwide leader in the production of soft body armor and related protective solutions, announced that it has introduced new, state-of-the-art ballistic systems, carrier designs and hard armor products for the Law Enforcement, Federal and Special Operations communities under its PARACLETE brand.

The latest PARACLETE systems and accessories incorporate the best in ballistic science and feature innovative designs and capabilities that address the extreme versatility and high-performance requirements of tactical officers and special ops agents, both domestically and abroad.

"Now more than ever, with increasing threat levels and new weaponry, officers are in greater need of cutting-edge ballistic solutions, combined with highly innovative carrier designs that can be adaptive under extreme situations in the field. Significant developments in ballistic materials and product designs have enabled us to create a breadth of multi-dimensional and multi-compliant (NIJ, FBI, DEA, and German SK-1 certified) solutions that provide officers with highly functional, flexible and adaptable protection so vital to their specific missions. “

“These systems go as far as to tap the benefits of the 'latest and greatest' in military and special ops technologies," explained Michael Foreman , Vice President of Government and International Sales and head of Product Line Management at Point Blank Enterprises. "Our newly enhanced, advanced tactical product line from PARACLETE offers the industry a unique 'one-stop solution shop' – beyond soft body armor to include accessory tools such as hard armor plates, shields and helmets – which we are aggressively leveraging to capture an increasing share of the marketplace."

SHOT Show attendees can view first-hand the latest solutions from PARACLETE including the:

Advanced Warrior System (AWS) – This newly designed system provides optimum coverage and tremendous versatility in fit while allowing maximum freedom of movement. Ruggedly durable and designed to be highly adaptive, the AWS is incredibly modular in construction and offers the ideal combination of form, fit and function.

Advanced Plate Carrier (APC) – Designed to allow the operator to gain immediate protection against high powered assault weapons, this carrier takes performance to new levels. Blending the functionality of a tactical vest with the simplicity of a plate carrier, the APC accommodates soft ballistic panels, Level III or IV hard armor plates and equipment pouches.

Federal Tactical Outer Carrier (FTOC) – The FTOC is a highly scalable, side-opening carrier that allows tactical units the flexibility to configure the body armor system to meet mission-specific needs. This includes the capability to reduce from higher to lower levels of protection, while enhancing mobility, agility and substantially improved range of motion for the wearer.

E.R.T. Shield – Designed in close collaboration with tactical operators, the Emergency Response Team (E.R.T) Shield satisfies the need for a shield which is light and versatile, while being strong and robust. The shield is ambidextrous, so that left and right handed operators can use the same shield quickly and without any need to change handle positions.

It is operator friendly when used in different tactical situations, operates well in stairwells and confined space clearing/assaults as well as dynamic entry and routine patrol. The integrated weapons mount provides for single handed operation, allowing operators to deploy their firearm. The shield has a solid horizontal handle combined with three soft handles for ease of deploying. The E.R.T Shield offers increased head coverage against other cut-out shields. This design and weight works well for all levels of shield operators and patrol officers.

Mr. Foreman continued, "We will see stronger demand for the most advanced body armor packages, particularly from the global tactical community, given their proven performance in the most critical missions. As such, developing improved life-saving solutions remains our number one priority.

"We look forward to even greater collaboration with our law enforcement, federal and special ops end-users to deliver systems that are scalable and robust, while still being light and comfortable".
